Retroblog: Little Big Planet (PS3)

Just finished the game, and even though its story mode is short, I enjoyed every single second of it. This game is a good candidate to beat the other existing platformers out there like Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet and Clank and even Mario and his sidekick Luigi. It's not because of a single aspect, but just because of the fun and innovation that LBP gives us. If you've played Super Paper Mario on the Wii you'll say this game is as brilliant and exciting as that or even better, but still! that is when you don't count the multiplayer and level creator that LBP brings to the equation. Innovation is what the gaming industry really needs much like Bioshock last year that somehow redefined the meaning of a first person shooter, so that gamers like us don't lose interest.

About the level creator, I have not even done a full game level yet as it takes time to create a good playable stage and I think we should have the same brilliance as the game creators to accomplish that, it is another aspect of LBP to prolong its life, but it will depend on the gamers themselves if they want to embrace the idea.
